White, Black, Red Beach

At home, I got up to go fetch some water in the night
in all this centre-of-the-world feeling of the Greek summer.
They re willing to sunburn, to drown, be touched all over
and become mild explorers of beaches,
squat in all sorts of toilets just to get on with it,
go again out and see the rest of it,
the rest of this summer.

The dossier

Erotic acceptance, in form of an answer
is a brown, slick dossier
with a strong pop-art logo across the spine

A striking sight
left on the arm of the sofa
in blinding summer light, coming from the windows
with its sides clearly outfitting it
bereft of any chance for safe foundation
